Interns Wanted!
The Historical Electronics Museum is seeking exceptional interns! Responsibilities consist of a range of collections management, education, and research projects.  We are seeking individuals with a history, museum studies, or related background.  Applicants should be able to work independently and interested in a museum career.  The internship is for three months and is a full time position for $1,000/month.

Want to be a volunteer?
Our volunteer program is open to interested persons of all ages. Volunteers do not need prior experience in any of the duties, just a willingness to learn! If volunteers do have relevant experience, we will try to use your skills appropriately.  Schedules are flexible, with no set requirements for the time or amount of service.  Work continues in all departments throughout the year. Volunteer positions are open to all individuals with the interest and a commitment of service to the Museum. Volunteers work independently with other volunteers and with Museum staff.

Administrative Volunteers
Help with  office duties, including answering telephones, typing, record keeping, and computer data input.

Tour Guides
Conduct scheduled and special tours of the museum�s exhibits for visitors.

Collections  Volunteer
Work with the accessioning of new artifacts,  photographs, slides, and negatives.

Library/Archives Volunteers
Assist with the collection of archival material, cataloguing, processing and filing of the Museum�s sizable collection of technical manuals, historical documents, photography, reference books, and other electronics oriented publications. 

Education Volunteer
Assist with the planning and implementation of  educational events, including programs, lectures, workshops and seminars for children and adults, and family programs. 

Saturday Volunteer
Donate a few hours one Saturday a month/every other month, to help keep the museum open on weekends.

Lobby/Information Desk Volunteer
Provide a pleasant welcome, and information on Museum exhibits, tours, and activities, and answering questions about the museum and surrounding BWI
