The Historical Electronics Museum offers a variety of additional
programs for the public. These include outreach programs, a lecture
series, internships, Young Engineers
and Scientists Seminar (YESS), and Robotfest. We are always looking for suggestions
on improvements to the education programs at HEM. If you are interested
in volunteering at HEM as a tour guide or education aid please click
here.
- Outreach Programs:
The museum offers outreach programs for the
community, where an HEM volunteer will visit a school, community
organization, or scout program to present an educational program about
the history and development of military defense electronics. This
program can include a brief lecture, a presentation, or an interactive
program with one of our traveling trunks.
To request an outreach program or for more information, please contact
Vedet Coleman, Education and Outreach Director vcoleman.hem@gmail.com.
- Lecture Series:
HEM's lecture series provides in-house programs for the
public on a variety of topics, and includes both living history programs
and lectures. For a complete list of our upcoming lecture series,
please check out the Events page.
Interested in being a lecturer at HEM? We are looking for guest
lecturers on a variety of topics.
For additional questions please contact Mike Simons at

- Take Your Child to Work Day Events:
To celebrate Take Your Child to
Work Day, the Historical Electronics Museum provides a day full of
events related to the field of engineering, with a focus on military
defense equipment. Activities and handouts are provided through out the
museum. On the fourth Thursday in April, bring your entire family to
learn about the field of engineering!
For additional questions and information about any of the education
programs at HEM, please contact Vedet Coleman, Education and Outreach Director vcoleman.hem@gmail.com.
